Per Diem Registered Nurse

Job Description

Responsible for utilizing the Nursing Process in a collaborative manner to plan, implement and evaluate nursing care in accordance with his / her scope of practice. The RN supports the goals and philosophy of the Department of Nursing within the St. Joseph's Healthcare System and on his / her assigned unit.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of theories, principles, and concepts normally acquired through completion of a Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred. Licensure required as a Registered Nurse by the State of New Jersey.
• Successful completion of department specific orientation and department specific certifications including Basic Life Support (BLS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) within 1 year of hire.

Effective July 1, 2021 Advance Neonatal Resuscitation Program certification is required or must be obtained within 6 months of hire through the American Heart Association.

Effective January 2019, St. Joseph's Health requires certifications for Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) to be granted through the American Heart Association.

Benefits Eligibility : (Full-time and Part-time Employees-over 20 hours a week)

Pay transparency : St. Joseph's Health provides a salary range to comply with New Jersey Law. The rate of pay for each position will be determined based on a variety of factors including the candidate's relevant experience, qualifications, skills, etc." The salary range does not include incentives, differential pay or other forms of compensation.

About the Team

St. Joseph's University Medical Center is an academic tertiary care medical center and state designated trauma center, located on the Paterson campus, regularly accepts referrals of difficult or unusual cases from other hospitals and physicians and performs both complex and routine procedures.
