Skillforce is currently hiring several Industrial Controls Engineers to support automation and controls work in a high-volume manufacturing environment in Chicago, IL. Candidates with prior experience in automotive plants and the ability to speak or translate Korean will be strongly preferred, as communication and safety are top priorities. This project is lasting several months, working up to 70 hours a week, and pay is up to $50 / hr. depending upon experience. Per diem and travel pay is offered to those that qualify!

This work involves Siemens and Mitsubishi PLCs and will support various automated material handling, transfer, and welding systems.

Key Responsibilities

Program, troubleshoot, and optimize Siemens and Mitsubishi PLC systems

Support automated material handling, welding, and roll-to-roll processes

Calibrate and integrate sensors, transducers, and control devices

Ensure safe and productive operations, assisting with Korean / English translation where needed

Document and communicate controls logic changes for maintenance and compliance

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Controls Engineer in an industrial / manufacturing setting

Korean language skills (technical translation strongly preferred)

Hands-on experience with Siemens and / or Mitsubishi PLCs

Specific background in material handling, welding, or roll-to-roll transfer systems

Strong problem-solving and communication skills
