Description :

Delivers nursing care responsibly and accountably as described professionally and legally.

Demonstrates competency through the critical thinking model known as the nursing process.

Strives to achieve optimal outcomes through evidence-based practice.

Education includes an Associate's Degree in Nursing, with specific requirements for Bachelor's Degrees.

Successful completion of a competency-based orientation program is needed.

Acts as a patient and family advocate in all scenarios.

Demonstrates a high standard of moral, ethical, and culturally sensitive behavior.

Assesses the overall needs of the patient and analyzes assessment data.

Identifies expected outcomes and develops individualized plans of care.

Evaluates patient education needs and employs appropriate teaching strategies.

Initiates patient discharge planning at the time of patient contact to ensure a smooth transition.

Ensures required documentation is performed accurately and in a timely manner.

Assumes a leadership role and delegates appropriately to assist in patient care.

Engages in activities to advance knowledge and competence in nursing practice.

Participates in ongoing improvement activities that improve quality patient care.

Actively participates in safety initiatives and completes all safety-related competencies.

Performs other duties as assigned.
