The Operations Supervisor is responsible for leading and developing operations personnel that fill orders, ships / receives products into / out of inventory and CDL drivers picking up and delivering products to / from customers' locations. The Operations Supervisor will work with sales, customer service, and the dispatch group to provide outstanding customer service in a safe and efficient manner. The Operations Supervisor will be responsible for inventory and delivery systems. The Operations Supervisor will be responsible for training, safety, and compliance programs to ensure high quality performance of employees. Operation Supervisor will ensure accurate inventory driving on time ship / delivery of products to our customer.
Key Responsibilities :
Utilize systems to maintain accurate inventorySchedule and direct duties of package / bulk warehouse associates effectively to achieve a high output low-cost warehouse operationUtilize system and metrics in regards of product volumes to organize tanks and bin locations to ensure efficient product flow for both inbound and outbound materialsSet performance metrics and goals for associatesHAZMAT knowledge regarding labeling, packing slips, loading, transporting, etc.Acquire all required licenses, permits, etc. in required time framesLead Safety Committee and ensure safety equipment inspections including but not limited to fire extinguishers, emergency lights, security system, eye wash stations. Knowledge of fire suppression systems is preferred.Evaluate employee performance and coach employees to meet standards set by position and coach them to develop next level of leadersCommunicate facility and equipment needs for repair and maintenanceManage overtime through evaluation of staffing needs through performance measurements and metricsConduct weekly departmental meetings for communications, training, development, and motivation of associatesFill in for associates in their absenceEducation :
High School Diploma required, Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experienceExperience and / or Training :
4-5 years' supervisory and / or management experience with warehouse and CDL driversConduct performance management with direct reportsExperience with DOT, HAZMAT, Safety and ComplianceKnowledge of quality, 5-S, six sigma, and / or lean systemsLicenses / Certificates :
Forklift certification preferred, not requiredTechnology / Equipment :
Knowledge of WMS / ERP / Samsara / Ortec system preferredPhysical and Mental Demands :

Work is performed in an office, climate-controlled warehouse, and outside at our customer sites with driversThe noise level in the work environments is moderate to loadFast paced and energetic in the warehouse and at our customer sites with driversThe anticipated hiring range for the role you are applying for is between $70,000 and $90,000 annually. This anticipated hiring range is based on several factors, and subject to increase based on the below :
