Med / Surg Tele RN Job Details Assignment Type : Travel Registered Nurse Location : Kinston, NC 28501 (Eastern North Carolina) Unit : 3 West PCU / Telemetry (Medicine Acute Care) Start Date : November 10, 2025 End Date : February 9, 2026 Duration : 13-week nursing contract Shift : Days, 3x12-hour shifts (07 : 00 - 19 : 00) Hours per Week : 36 Estimated Weekly Pay : $1680 - $1800 Weekend / Holiday Coverage : Required (6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule) Orientation : 16-24 hours (please confirm with recruiter) Patient Ratio : 1 : 6 Charting System : EPIC Registered Nurse Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – North Carolina or compact state Minimum 1 year of recent Med / Surg Telemetry nursing experience (2 years preferred) BLS and NIH Stroke Certification required (must be current) Preferred : ACLS and CPI certifications Experience with EPIC electronic health record system preferred Previous charge nurse experience preferred Ability to work weekends and holidays as needed Travel nurses must reside at least 50 miles from Kinston, NC Med / Surg Tele RN Responsibilities Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients with diagnoses such as ESRD, cardiac conditions, pneumonia, CHF, GI bleed, diabetes, and more Facilitate patient admissions, treatments, and inter-unit transfers Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry for patient safety Administer medications and manage IVs, including cardiac drips (no titration required) Perform wound care, dressing changes, and wound vac management Care for post-catheterization and peritoneal dialysis patients Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams (IV, PT, RT, pharmacy, social services) Utilize rapid response and code teams as needed Maintain accurate and timely documentation using EPIC Follow infection control and isolation protocols Ready to take the next step in your nursing career?
