Join to apply for the AB Specialty Services Expert role at Primary Health Medical Group . This is a flex-float full-time position scheduled to cover all clinics in the Treasure Valley. The compensation includes a $2.00 Family Practice differential plus $2.00 per hour.
Responsibilities
- Train and cover Family Practice and all specialty positions as needed, including Sports Medicine, Dermatology, ENT, and Occupational Health.
- Prepare to scribe and document patient encounters.
- Assist in the examination and treatment of patients under the direction of a provider or physician, including casting, bracing, injections, and other procedures.
- Provide clinical triage / communication as defined by protocol or per provider instructions.
- Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize equipment, and check medical equipment.
- Perform basic laboratory tests on-premise and prepare laboratory specimens.
- Perform phlebotomy, collect, label, process, and distribute specimens for laboratory testing from patients of all ages.
- Administer adult and childhood vaccines and wellness exams.
- Observe disease improvement and help manage chronic conditions.
- Help patients navigate the healthcare system, providing one-on-one education and participating in the patient's healthcare plan.
- Assist with special procedures (IUDs, Nexplanon, biopsies, diabetic foot care, sleep studies, Cologuards, circumcisions) not offered in Urgent Care.
- Assist the back office in managing patient flow, paperwork, and customer service.
- Provide quality customer service and patient education based on assessment of needs.
- Perform tests and procedures as ordered.
- Accurately document patient encounters and interventions performed.
- Relay provider instructions to patients.
- Assist with all non-direct patient care tasks (autoclaving, stocking, scanning records, mailing, etc.).
- Aid in identifying methods of improving patient care.
- Assist front office staff in managing details of patients, schedules, and referrals.
- Assist or lead in emergency situations.
- Maintain confidentiality regarding HIPAA.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
MA with a nationally accredited program (EMT certification and experience considered).LPNs and RNs must hold a current Idaho Board of Nursing license.Venipuncture skills.Previous clinical experience preferred.Customer service-oriented attitude / behavior.Computer proficiency; ability to use applicable software.Ability to travel to all Primary Health clinics in the Treasure Valley.Ability to work in specialties regularly to maintain competency.Recommended vaccines : annual Influenza, Hep B, Tdap, MMR, Varicella, and TB.Benefits
