Austin Associates is seeking a Senior Tax Manager to join their collaborative, community focused team to provide expert accounting services. Employees can be based in their Auburn or Skowhegan, Maine offices with flexible work arrangements.

Requirements :

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
• CPA Licensure or EA Certification highlydesirable.
• 5 +years of experience in tax accounting and / or financial statement preparation and supervision required.
• Understanding of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations, combined with a strategic mindset.
• Experience managing multiple client engagements efficiently in a fast paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Proven project management skills, with a client-focused approach.
• Exceptional analytical, organizational and problem-solving abilities, with a proven track record of navigating complex tax issues.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to clearly explain complex tax matters to diverse audiences both internally and externally.
• Proficiency in tax preparation, depreciation, tax research software and the Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
