About the Position

TravelNurseSource is working with Lancesoft Inc to find a qualified OR RN in Morristown, New Jersey, 07961!

• Shift: Days, 12‑hour shifts
• Start Date: 02/16/2026
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Guaranteed Hours: 37.5 per week

Responsibilities

Pre‑Operative

• Prepare operating room with sterile instruments, equipment, and supplies.
• Conduct pre‑op patient assessments.
• Educate patients and families on surgical procedures and expectations.
• Administer pre‑operative medications as required.
• Ensure all documentation and consents are verified.

Intra‑Operative

• Assist surgeons by passing instruments and supplies efficiently.
• Monitor and document patient vital signs.
• Maintain strict sterile field and infection‑control practices.
• Communicate effectively with the surgical team to ensure smooth workflow.

Post‑Operative

• Monitor patients during recovery from anesthesia.
• Provide immediate postoperative care and assessments.
• Educate patients/families on wound care, discharge instructions, and follow‑up.
• Record detailed surgical logs and patient care documentation.
