Description :

Position / Specialty : Med Surg RN

Shift : 3x12 Nights (1900-0730)

Ratios / Daily Caseload : 1 : 6 for all shifts.

First-timers accepted : Yes

Weekend Requirement : Will work every other weekend.

Floating : Will float between 2 Med Surg units as needed.

Open to accommodating block schedule : Discuss schedule requests with manager.

Local candidates accepted : Yes.

RTO Restrictions : Discuss time off requests with manager.

Client may call off up to 36 hours per thirteen week assignment without paying for the canceled hours.

If clients cancel more hours than permitted, clients will be billed for any shifts in excess of this section.

If candidates are placed on call instead of being called off, that will count as a called-off shift.

Special Requirements : Experience with Cerner and teaching hospital preferred.

Community hospital experience preferred.

Type of Facility : Critical Access Magnet / Teaching hospital.

Total Staffed Beds : 25 beds.

Scrub Color : Any solid color.

Charting : Cerner

Patient Age Groups : Adolescents, Adults, Geriatrics

Daily Census : 25

Interdisciplinary Support : Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Interpretation Services, Phlebotomy, Radiology, Social Services, Pharmacy, Unit Secretary.

Patient Diagnoses : Congestive Heart Failure, Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease, Post-operative Orthopedic, Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy, Appendectomy, Kidney Disease / Dialysis, Constipation, Dehydration, Small Bowel Obstruction, Upper respiratory infection.

Med / Surg nurses and PCTs float between both units.

Diagnoses and nursing care remain the same for both units.

Candidate MUST WORK 2 out of 3 major holidays.

Floating is 100% required of all travelers.

Candidates will float within the hospital or to nearby affiliate hospitals.

Certifications required : Please see job description for required certifications.

Background policy to be noted prior to offer.

Any previous employees must be away for 12 months before applying as a traveler.

Modules : Non-billable hours will apply.

Completed virtually on the first day.

Non-clinical hours do not vary; module hours may vary for clinical roles.
