General Laboratory Supervisor – Clinical Laboratory

A well-regarded healthcare facility in Tennessee is seeking an experienced General Laboratory Supervisor to help lead day-to-day operations across multiple lab sections. This is a great opportunity for a seasoned Medical Technologist ready to take on more responsibility in a leadership-focused, hands-on role.

What You’ll Do :

Supervise testing personnel and ensure timely, accurate reporting of results

Oversee high-complexity testing in areas such as Hematology, Chemistry, Coagulation, Urinalysis, and Immunology

Provide real-time support to staff for technical questions and problem-solving

Assign workloads, monitor productivity, and help maintain quality standards

Perform bench work as needed, including specimen evaluation, preparation, and testing

Assist with training new staff and students, as well as performance evaluations and audits

Ensure compliance with all regulatory and quality standards (including CLIA and CAP)

Support equipment maintenance, supply inventory, and procedure documentation

Qualifications :

Graduate of an approved Medical Technology program

Tennessee Laboratory Supervisor License (or eligible to obtain within 90 days)

Minimum 4 years of experience as a Medical Technologist

Strong working knowledge of high-complexity testing and lab operations

Excellent organizational and communication skills
