Commercialization lead provides cross-functional execution and support that drive business performance and optimizes business processes between sales, demand & production planning, finance, plant operations, innovation & supply chain.
Job Responsibilities :
- Coordinate outside service requests, establish purchase orders, ensure purchase orders are closed and manage expenses within budget requirements.
- Manage and direct maintenance personnel, including workload assignments and provide feedback on work.
- Plan and direct the Maintenance function to attain optimum utilization of machinery, materials, and labor, achieve optimum capacity, yields and overall cost reduction.
- Responsible for assisting on all major engineering projects, including planning, design, construction / fabrication, installation & maintenance of all equipment
- Develop and maintain departmental KPI's to track department and individual performance.
- Perform food safety inspections, monitor and assist sanitation / Quality Control (QC) employees to ensure proper sanitation (HAACP and GMPs).
- Play a key role in all business unit decisions related to major capital or expense projects.
- Provide technical advice to senior management and play a key role in planning and ensuring that the technological advancement of the plant supports the business plans of the company.
- Manage all maintenance-related projects to ensure that all are technically sound and in compliance with all employee safety, food safety and regulatory standards.
- Plan maintenance activities and develop training documents.
- Track metrics, performance, and efficiency of work scheduled.
- Read and comprehend technical manuals, service manuals, diagrams, blueprints and schematics to more efficiently service the equipment.
- Ensure production areas are maintained to current General Manufacturing Procedures (GMP) standards. Manage predictive and preventive maintenance for production equipment and schedule required corrective actions. Prioritize maintenance work to achieve the highest efficiencies possible.
- Utilize CMMS to plan, schedule, print, document time, and manage WO's from inception through completion.
- Respond in a timely manner to associate work requests including safety work orders.
- Assist storeroom and purchasing group to kit pre-planned work.
- Communicate effectively with management regarding PM requirements, completions, and challenges.
- Update Maintenance Library with new equipment information.
- Diagnose, repair and overhaul process pumps, automatic control valves, sensors, positioners, actuators basic electrical AC / DC troubleshooting and related systems.
- Read and decipher mechanical drawings, schematics and piping diagrams to strategically plan the best course of action to resolve project issues.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements & Qualifications :
High school diploma or GED is required.Four (4) years of related maintenance experience is required, Maintenance Leadership experience is preferred. Current Olam employees with two (2) years of successful performance in a related Maintenance role will be considered.Two (2) years of industrial plant maintenance planning experience preferred with :Specialized Technical SkillsMaintenance TroubleshootingFailure AnalysisBasic computer skills (MS Office programs)Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs. is required.Possess electrical knowledge.Candidate should understand operations, procedures, inventory parts, LOTO, improvements, breakdown analysis, PM's, 5S, etc. within the production area.Ability to read and understand blueprints, electrical schematics, and Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams is required.Previous experience in the installation and repair of mechanical equipment desired. Electrical troubleshooting experience is a plus.Previous experience in the diagnosis and repair of pneumatic systems is preferred. Knowledge of cylinders, valves, manifolds, vacuum systems, air filtration, and lubrication devices is a plus.Proficient knowledge of bearings, pulleys, chain drives, belt drives, and lubricant standards and applications is required.The pay for this role in the state of NJ is $81,000 – $135,000 and is based on the position responsibilities and geographic location. Actual pay within this range may be determined based on candidate’s experience, qualifications and / or other determining factors.
