We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our team and provide high-quality therapy services to children from birth to age 3 through the NYC Early Intervention (EI) Program . Services are delivered in natural environments such as homes and daycares throughout The Bronx .
The NYC Early Intervention Program is a federally mandated program that supports infants and toddlers with developmental delays or disabilities and their families. As an OT on our team, you’ll play a critical role in helping children achieve developmental milestones and improve their functional skills.
Responsibilities :
Conduct comprehensive developmental evaluations and assessments for children ages 0–3.
Deliver direct, play-based occupational therapy services in natural settings (e.g., home, daycare, community).
Develop and implement Individualized Family Service Plans (IFSPs) with measurable, family-centered goals.
Collaborate closely with families, service coordinators, and multidisciplinary team members.
Participate in IFSP meetings and provide professional input on child development goals.
Maintain accurate, timely documentation in compliance with NYC DOH and EI guidelines.
Adhere to all Medicaid billing protocols and documentation standards.
Qualifications :
Master’s degree (or higher) in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
Current New York State license and registration as an Occupational Therapist.
NBCOT certification (National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy).
Approved provider in the NYC Early Intervention Program or eligibility to become one.
Preferred : Experience working with infants / toddlers (0–3) in home or community settings.
Reliable transportation and ability to travel within the Bronx.
