Applications Developer/Analyst

Our local government client is looking for an Application Developer / Analyst with experience in Accela to join their team.

Pay Rate : $50.00 - $55.00 / hr on W2

Skills, experience, and other compensable factors will be taken into account when determining pay rate. The pay range provided in this posting is a reflection of a W2 hourly rate;

other employment options may be available that may result in pay outside of the provided pay range.

Eliassen Group is seeking a talented and experienced Applications Developer / Analyst to join our team in supporting a local SoCal city government in applications, technical environments, and interfacing systems.

Job Responsibilities :

• Maintain various applications for city departments, including upgrades, patch maintenance, and other related activities.
• Develop and maintain applications and interfaces to support city department initiatives.
• Gather business requirements and document specifications for application, report, and interface development.
• Develop and implement processes for application migration, testing, and support maintenance.
• Provide production support for city departments’ applications, technical environments, and interfacing systems.
• Prioritize and assign target completion dates for fixes and change orders in concurrence with application users and team members.
• Follow existing business processes and operational guidelines for supporting business application users, vendors, and maintenance activities.
• Ensure resolution and proper root-cause analysis for project development / production issues and customer inquiries.
• Coordinate with city staff, applications, and software vendors for business applications support, incidents, and issue resolution.
• Support the city’s 24x7 business operations and be available onsite during business hours.

Required Skills :

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in developing, upgrading, and maintaining web-based or mobile applications.
• 2+ years experience with Accela Permitting and Land Management Application.
• Prior experience as an applications developer using C#, .NET, Java, or any object-oriented programming language.
• Experience in maintaining Microsoft SharePoint sites using SharePoint components / templates and workflow.
• Hands-on experience with PowerBI or equivalent reporting / business intelligence tools (e.g., Tableau, Crystal Reports, Business Objects).
• Excellent verbal communication, interpersonal, and technical writing / documentation skills.
• Ability to train business application users and develop technical documentation.
