Your Responsibilities
We are seeking an experienced and safety-focused MRI Technologist to perform high-quality MRI procedures. You will be critical in ensuring accurate imaging and a safe environment for every patient.
Key Responsibilities Include :
Safety & Screening (Critical Focus) :
Conduct thorough patient interviews and screenings for MRI safety prior to every procedure.Maintain strict safety protocols within magnetic field Zone IV for patients, visitors, and staff.Ensure correct patient identification using two (2) approved identifiers at every point of contact.Procedure Execution :
Prepare and position patients safely and accurately for MRI scans.Operate and adjust GE and Philips MRI equipment, selecting appropriate technical factors and imaging parameters for optimal diagnostic results.Explain the procedure clearly to patients, answering questions and addressing concerns.Quality & Documentation :
Evaluate all images for technical quality and accuracy, ensuring proper identification.Effectively use the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system for documenting patient encounters and accessing pertinent data.Maintain equipment functionality, perform quality / calibration tests, and manage imaging supplies inventory.Required Qualifications
Education :
Associate's degree from a Radiologic Technology program required.Licensure / Certification :
Valid state license as a Radiologic Technologist.Current certification and registration from the ARRT or ARMRIT.Experience :
A minimum of 1 year of recent MRI experience.Mandatory : Experience within a Level I Trauma Center (CTR) environment.Technical : Knowledge and hands-on experience with GE and Philips MRI equipment.Preferred : Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA).Equal Opportunity Employer
