Responsibilities Work in a hospital Med / Surg Tele unit caring for general med / surg, neurosurgical, and orthopedic patients, including back surgery patients and those with joint replacements 28 bed unit with nurse-to-patient ratios of 1 : 5 on days and 1 : 6 on nights, which may fluctuate based on unit needs Night shifts, three 12-hour shifts per week, with various days including weekends as needed Required to work at least 7 weekend shifts during the contract No on-call requirements Floating required within all med / surg units and may float to sister facilities as needed Epic charting system experience required Provide nursing care primarily for med / surg, orthopedic, and neurosurgical patients, including those recovering from spine, hip, knee, and shoulder procedures No blocked scheduling requests permitted A maximum of 10 days of requested time off (RTO) is approved per 13-week contract; RTO is not allowed during specified blackout dates Modules are required and are completed during the first day of orientation Candidates must not have been employed by the specified health system or its affiliates in any capacity within the last two years Local candidates are accepted but may be subject to a different pay rate if living within 75 miles of the facility Requirements Active CO or compact RN license AHA BLS and CPR certifications required Minimum 2 years of acute care RN experience Previous Epic charting experience required First-time travelers accepted with at least 2 years of RN experience Navy scrubs required Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-627875.
