AV Design Architect San Antonio, TX 78221 Start Date : ASAP Duration : 6 Months (Contract to Direct Possible) Pay Rate : $32.79 - $41.00 (Depending on Experience) Work Schedule : 8 : 00 AM - 5 : 00 PM (Flexibility required for occasional events outside regular hours) Category : Information Technology Company Overview : Join the innovative team as an AV Design Architect within our San Antonio office. We are dedicated to harnessing cutting-edge technology to enhance our business operations and create impactful audio-visual experiences. Key Responsibilities : Design & Planning : Lead the high-level planning, design, and optimization of audio-visual systems tailored to meet our enterprise needs. Technology Evaluation : Stay abreast of emerging AV technologies; assess and recommend products for integration within the organization. Client Engagement : Conduct site surveys and gather business requirements to deliver tailored AV solutions, translating these needs into comprehensive design specifications. Collaboration : Work closely with internal stakeholders, technology teams, and external vendors to ensure seamless implementation of AV systems. Event Support : Oversee the logistics and technical planning for organization-wide meetings and special events, delivering and managing live event AV equipment. Equipment Management : Maintain and manage audio-visual equipment inventory, ensuring proper operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance. Mentorship : Guide and instruct junior AV technicians, fostering skill development and ensuring high-quality standards in AV production and operations. Technical Training : Provide training sessions for staff on audio-visual equipment operation and documentation processes for events and presentations. Reporting : Maintain communication with management and service providers regarding project status and AV solutions. Preferred Experience : Expertise with the following equipment brands and technologies : Crestron, Biamp, Microsoft Teams, Visix, NovoDS, Barco, TEKVOX among others. Familiarity with AV installation processes, including power tools and cabling. Qualifications : Education : High School Diploma or GED required. Experience : 1-3 years of AV installation experience required; 3-5 years in a corporate setting preferred. Physical Demands : The role involves consistent communication through various channels, extended periods of computer use, and may require lifting or moving objects up to 25 lbs.
