The Opportunity
We are GROWING so we're seeking an experienced Legal Assistant / Employment Litigation to support our attorneys with case management and litigation tasks in discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and wage / hour cases. This role is perfect for a detail-oriented, reliable professional who knows how to manage pleadings, filings, and discovery in California employment litigation.

What You'll Do
- Prepare and format pleadings, discovery responses, and other legal documents with precision and attention to California court requirements
- File and serve documents in California state and federal courts, including e-filing through court portals
- Manage calendars, deadlines, and case timelines to ensure nothing falls through the cracks
- Organize and maintain case files (both electronic and paper) with meticulous recordkeeping
- Assist with trial preparation, exhibits, and client correspondence to support attorneys in delivering winning outcomes
- Support attorneys with research, document review, and administrative tasks as needed to keep cases moving forward efficiently
What You Bring
Required Qualifications
25 years of litigation support experience (employment law strongly preferred)Working knowledge of California court filing procedures and local rules for both state and federal courtsProficiency with MS Word, Excel, Adobe Acrobat, and Google WorkspaceFamiliarity with Smokeball, Clio, or similar legal case management softwareStrong written communication skills with excellent grammar and formatting abilitiesExceptional organizational skills and attention to detail that ensures accuracy in every documentAbility to work independently and manage multiple priorities with sound judgmentPreferred Qualifications
Experience with Relativity, Everchron, or other document management toolsPrior work in a small firm or plaintiff-side practice environmentBackground specifically in employment litigation (discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage / hour cases)Compensation & Benefits
Hourly Rate : $30.00 - $36.00 per hour, depending on experience
Schedule : Full or Part-time 25- 40 hours per week
