JOB SUMMARY :
Under the direct supervision of the Director of Community Engagement, the Community Engagement Specialist supports the Director of Community Engagement in strengthening community partnerships, coordinating events, and expanding outreach efforts. This role assists with planning, communications, and engagement activities while also handling select administrative tasks such as scheduling, documentation, and tracking. The Specialist ensures that ICL Programs are represented effectively in the community and are in support of ICLs mission and goals.

- Assist in coordinating community partnerships with schools, nonprofits, hospitals, local government, and other organizations.
- Support HUB tours, housing program visits, and outreach activities to promote services.
- Help organize community events, Consumer Advisory Board meetings, and external forums.
- Represent the ICL and HUB at community events and provide on-the-ground support.
- Assist with logistics for community events and meetings, including scheduling, set-up, and participant communications.
- Serve as a liaison between external affairs and community department and programs to ensure events, marketing, referrals, social media promotion
- Track attendance and maintain records of outreach and engagement activities.
- Draft flyers, outreach emails, and social media content to promote events and initiatives.
- Collect photos, testimonials, and impact stories for use in marketing and development.
- Help maintain community calendars and ensure deadlines for promotional materials are met.
- Maintain organized files, contact lists, and engagement records.
- Support the Director with scheduling, reporting, and light budget / expense tracking.

Committed to equity, diversity, inclusion and belonging, and active promotion of the ICL values and goals.Must be a dependable team player and self-starter.Excellent written and spoken communication skills.Strong organizational skills and able to develop and implement strategies that will support the ICL mission and vision by focusing on integration of all services.Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.Efficient time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks.Strong capability to multitask, work under pressure and meet all deadlines.Experience in community-based initiatives, particularly in underserved or marginalized communities.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Demonstrated cultural competence and experience working with diverse populations.QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCEL :
Bachelor’s degree in communications, public administration, social sciences, or related field (or equivalent experience).1–3 years of experience in community engagement, outreach, or event coordination, with some administrative responsibilities.Strong organizational and communication skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and social media platforms.Must be available for some evening and weekend events
