Patient Care Coordinator
The Patient Care Coordinator performs a wide variety of duties associated with patient services. This position is responsible for all components of the patient's experience ranging from patient in-take, office visit, patient close-out, and appointment scheduling. The position also oversees the reporting function for the clinic including compliance specific reports as well as corporate statistics.
Schedule : Monday - Friday, 6 : 00AM - 6 : 00PM. Supervisor will determine schedule. (8-hour shifts)

Primary Responsibilities :
- Scan insurance cards, making sure that all paperwork is filled out correctly and signed
- Collect co-pays and co-insurance, deductibles and balances
- Keep front office and waiting room clean and stocked
- Print schedules for medical assistants and physicians
- Balance daily logs and money collected, posting payments when balanced
- Coordinate patients check out process
- Schedule radiology and give pt lab orders
- Confirm all FFS eligibility for all locations and update eligibility form in EHR
- Issue referrals for outside specialties
- Obtain authorization for all office procedures and radiology if needed
- Answer phone calls from 3 phone queues (scheduling, high priority and overflow)
- Intake all demographic information for new patients
- Update demographic information for existing patients
- Collect insurance information
- Route calls throughout the office to appropriate department
- Coordinator intake consultation requests from physicians for on call physicians
- Float throughout all the departments throughout all the clinics
- Other responsibilities as assigned

Required Qualifications :
High School Diploma / GED (or higher)2+ years of current medical front office experience1+ years of experience with knowledge of Nevada medical insurances1+ years of EMR experienceIntermediate level of proficiency with computer skills such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, and other departmental specific programs / applicationsAbility to travel 50% of the offices within the Las Vegas areaPreferred Qualifications :
