Corporate Tax Manager

Job Description

We are seeking a   Corporate Tax Manager   to join our client’s Corporate Tax Solutions team. This role focuses on business income tax planning, corporate compliance, and ASC 740 income tax accounting (including provision preparation, review, and audit support). You will manage client engagements, supervise staff, and collaborate with specialists across the tax practice to deliver high-quality results for large, multi-state, national, and global companies.

Key Responsibilities

Lead client engagements from start to finish : planning, execution, direction, and completion of tax projects.

Manage budgets and timelines while ensuring high-quality deliverables.

Supervise, train, and mentor associates and interns on tax projects; conduct performance reviews.

Review staff-prepared tax returns; recommend improvements and identify tax-saving opportunities.

Conduct ASC 740 income tax provision reviews and provide audit support.

Research complex tax issues and prepare client-ready technical memoranda.

Respond to inquiries from IRS, state, and other tax authorities.

Maintain strong client relationships and effectively collaborate with client management.

Identify opportunities to expand services with current and prospective clients.

Stay updated on tax developments through ongoing training and professional development.

Requirements

Active CPA (Georgia, or reciprocity to GA) OR JD / active law license.

Bachelors :  Accounting

Corporate compliance and   ASC 740 provision   experience (preparation, review, and audit).

Public accounting experience with a   Top 15 accounting firm   in recent years.

Minimum four to seven years of progressive tax compliance / or tax consulting experience

Corporate tax experience supporting   large, multi-state, national, or global companies.

Ability to work on-site at least   2 days per week or 2 days at clients site.

Preferred Skills

Experience with   OneSource Tax Provision (OTP) software.

Professional services background.

Strong client relationship management skills.
