We are seeking an experienced Project Manager / Superintendent that is up for a challenge to help this startup company take off and start growing! As the Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing construction projects from start to finish including bidding new jobs and preforming lumber and hardware takeoffs, scheduling and coordinating.
This is a critical role that requires strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of construction processes and techniques.
Responsibilities :
- Bidding new projects.
- Providing lumber and hardware takeoffs.
- Supervise and coordinate all aspects of the construction project, including scheduling, budgeting, quality control, and safety compliance
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure project success
- Review and interpret project plans, blueprints, and specifications
- Monitor progress and ensure that work is being performed according to plans and specifications
- Conduct regular site visits to inspect workmanship and ensure compliance with building codes and regulations
- Manage subcontractors and suppliers, including negotiating contracts and resolving any issues or disputes that may arise
- Maintain accurate records of project activities, including daily logs, progress reports, and change orders
- Communicate effectively with all stakeholders, including clients, team members, and regulatory agencies
- Implement and enforce safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for all personnel
Skills :
- Strong knowledge of framing processes and techniques
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and contract documents
- Excellent supervisory skills with the ability to lead a diverse team of professionals
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety practices in the construction industry
- Ability to effectively communicate complex information to various stakeholders
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure
