Overview :

The Accounting Supervisor reports to the VP Finance / Corporate Controller and is responsible for managing the month-end close process, applying accounting principles to analyze financial information, preparing accurate financial reports, and ensuring proper accounting controls and compliance procedures.

Role : Accounting Supervisor (Consultant)

Location : Stamford, CT

Hourly Rate : $50-60 / hr

Work Modality : 100% in-office

Key Responsibilities :

• Maintain accurate general ledgers with proper documentation of assets, liabilities, and transactions
• Prepare and review month-end journal entries and adhere to close schedules
• Complete monthly balance sheet account reconciliations with attention to detail
• Prepare consolidated financial statements and analyze data to identify trends for management
• Support annual budgeting and periodic forecasting activities
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and maintain adherence to GAAP
• Implement and maintain strong internal controls to prevent fraud and errors
• Assist with new accounting pronouncements implementation
• Support external auditors during year-end financial and 401K audits
• Provide assistance to the finance leadership team on various projects
