Galapagos Federal Systems LLC is seeking a motivated and experienced Deputy Program Manager (DPM) to support a critical infrastructure program in Alexandria, VA. As the principal back-up to the Program Manager, the DPM will play a key role in ensuring the successful execution of the contract while providing leadership across technical, operational, and administrative functions. This position requires a proven leader with the ability to manage complex program requirements, coordinate with stakeholders, and drive mission-critical IT infrastructure and services to excellence.

Deputy Program Manager Required Key Responsibilities :

• Serve as backup to the Program Manager (PM)
• Develop, manage, and report on the Program Management Plan (PMP), ensuring compliance with scope, schedule, cost, and performance objectives
• Support the PM in providing overall leadership and guidance for all contractor personnel assigned to the program
• Support the PM in ensuring the quality and efficiency of the program, including both technical issues and business processes
• Support the PM in the execution and performance of the contract
• Ensure service delivery aligns with industry frameworks and standards (ITIL, DESMF, TBM) to deliver consistent, interoperable, and high-quality infrastructure services
• Collaborate with stakeholders to resolve issues, manage changes, and drive continual service improvement
• Contribute to program reporting, briefings, and status updates for government leadership

Physical Requirements : Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time and typing and reading from a computer screen. The candidate must have enough mobility, including bending, reaching, and kneeling, to complete daily duties in a prompt and efficient manner and that may include lifting up to thirty pounds, as necessary.
