Job Description

This position is onsite 5 days a week in the Garment District.

Our client seeks an experienced Women’s Technical Designer to ensure fit, construction, and quality for activewear and outerwear lines.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain technical specifications from prototype to bulk production.
Attend fittings to evaluate fit, measurements, and construction. Provide clear comments to vendors.
Review size grading and samples for accuracy.
Oversee in-house and buyer pre-production samples (PPS) and TOPs, ensuring alignment with specs and workmanship standards.
Communicate feedback to factories and manage production improvements.
Ensure sample flow and production timelines are met.

Requirements

5+ years in sportswear / outerwear ; 7+ years in activewear is a plus

Expertise in patterns, grading (missy and plus), fit, and construction.

Proficiency in Excel, Outlook, Illustrator, and Photoshop.

Strong understanding of manufacturing and production processes.

Preferred Qualities

Detail-oriented, consistent, and organized.

Strong communicator with excellent follow-up skills.
