BCforward is currently seeking highly motivated Machine Parts Inspector I in Indianapolis, IN 46219

Position Title : Machine Parts Inspector I

Location : Indianapolis, IN 46219

Shift : 1st shift and 2nd shift available

Position : 6 months (Temp to Hire)

Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following :

The Machine Parts Inspector I is responsible for performing detailed inspections on a wide variety of precision and complex in-process and finished machine parts, highly complex components, castings, forgings, fabricated sheet metal parts, and hardware that is produced in-house and / or supplied by vendors.

• Mechanical inspection of parts including first article, in-process, and final.
• Verification of materials and processes and verification of certifications from sub-tier vendors.
• Completion of all applicable paperwork (working to AS9100 standards).
• Performance of various other quality tasks as required to ensure the timely delivery of precision machined parts to the customer.
• Cleanliness of the work area and proper handling of tools, equipment, and stock to prevent damage or loss.
• Assist in training other Machine Parts Inspector I
• Related work including calibration of inspection tools, and development and enforcement of quality systems procedures necessary to satisfy AS9100, military, and customer specifications
• Other duties as assigned.
