The Global Risk & Compliance Organization (GRC) is an independent risk management function, led by the Chief Risk Officer, with the objective of ensuring that American Express operates in a safe, sound, and fully compliant manner with all applicable regulatory expectations. GRC creates and maintains the overall risk management framework, performs independent risk management assessments, and monitors applicable risks. The Global Financial Crimes Compliance (GFCC) Transaction Monitoring Rule Program Oversight (TMRPO) team is responsible for the oversight of the enterprise-wide anti-money laundering (AML) and counter-terrorist financing (CTF) transaction monitoring program at American Express. The program includes assessing, designing, and implementing AML and CTF detection strategies across all American Express products and services. These strategies ultimately generate alerts which are investigated by the Global Financial Crimes Investigation Unit (GFCSU) as part of the Suspicious Activity Reporting (SAR) process.

Job Responsibilities

• Manage input creation and input lifecycle, working alongside the TMRPO Rule Design Oversight team as well as all applicable partner teams to ensure program standards and procedures are adhered to with quality and consistency.
• Manage and maintain Transaction Monitoring (TM) Input Requests and Status tracking to ensure accuracy across all platforms, including up-channel reporting to relevant stakeholders.
• Perform frequent data entry and multi-level validation of work effort related documentation to preserve the integrity of enterprise-wide Transaction Monitoring Program.
• Assist in maintenance of TMRPO systems of record to ensure accuracy and completeness of records, including TM input details and optimization / adjustment work effort tracking.
• Conduct secondary quality checks on all TM release notifications, ensuring completeness and accuracy, and providing feedback to partner teams as needed.
• Perform assessment of all incoming Market Engagement requests and determine prioritization.
• Function as central point of contact for the Transaction Monitoring Program; answering, acting, and / or routing all requests & questions to the appropriate parties and ensuring all requests are actioned in a timely manner.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Salary Range

$55,000.00 to $105,000.00 annually bonus benefits
