Manager, Finance Technology : (Hybrid in Austin, TX)
Optomi, in partnership with a global leader in diagnostic and life science technology, is seeking a Manager, Finance Transformation to help lead a major Oracle-to-SAP S / 4HANA migration as part of a multi-year enterprise initiative harmonizing global finance operations across North America and corporate headquarters in Italy.
This role is highly visible within the organization and will serve as the right-hand partner to the Sr. Director of Accounting, ensuring processes, people, and systems are aligned through each phase of transformation.
About the Role :
The Manager, Finance Transformation will play a pivotal role in the end-to-end design, coordination, and execution of finance process migration and harmonization efforts. Acting as a hands-on project manager, this individual will bridge accounting, finance, and IT to ensure that business operations across the Diasorin and Luminex entities are seamlessly integrated into SAP S / 4HANA.
You’ll work closely with the implementation partner and internal stakeholders to ensure that systems, controls, and workflows are optimized — laying the foundation for a unified, scalable finance environment.
Key Responsibilities :
- Lead the finance process migration from Oracle to SAP S / 4HANA
- Partner with external and internal teams to drive process mapping, harmonization, and end-to-end workflow documentation.
- Serve as project manager across accounting, finance, and IT to align teams on scope, milestones, and dependencies.
- Act as the Sr. Director of Accounting’s primary liaison to ensure business readiness and smooth transition to SAP.
- Collaborate with corporate accounting in Italy to align North American standards with global finance policies and controls.
- Support post-acquisition integrations, ensuring new entities align with SAP finance and reporting processes.
- Identify and implement opportunities for automation, compliance, and continuous process improvement.
- Prepare project dashboards, KPIs, and performance reports to track progress and outcomes.
Ideal Background :
5+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience with 3–5+ years in finance transformation or ERP project management.Proven experience leading ERP migrations (Oracle → SAP highly preferred).Strong background in process design, harmonization, and workflow optimization.Demonstrated success driving cross-functional collaboration between Finance, IT, and Operations.Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills — comfortable working with executive and global teams.CPA or Master’s degree in Accounting / Finance preferred; Big 4 exposure a plus.Self-starter with the ability to operate in a dynamic, evolving environment.
