General Description
This position shall report directly to the drylin linear bearings Product Manager and will be responsible for assisting in the growth of the entire product line in the United States, Canada and Mexico. The position will be working closely with key customers, sales, engineering and operations to ensure revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met.
Responsibilities
- Provide detailed, accurate and timely technical support for the drylin product range of linear products to the sales teams and customers. This includes drylin, dryspin, and drylin E motors and drives and all products under the drylin business unit.
- Calculate costs and pricing to the sales teams / customers for custom and serial products while maintaining profitability of the product line.
- Keep material and product knowledge up to date
- Work with product expert systems and online tools to identify suitable products to reduce the costs and / or improve the technology for customers
- Act as primary project manager on projects as defined by the Product Manager including direct contact with customers, RSMs, Inside Sales and Engineering
- Collaborate with counterparts in Cologne on a daily basis regarding projects, programs and tasks
- Develop and conduct trainings (new-hire and ongoing trainings) and be able to provide training in alignment with the Training and Development Department
- Assist in trade show planning and coordination - including walking Trade Shows as needed
- Organize and perform product-group driven campaigns with the sales and marketing teams. These will include box mailings as well as digital media.
- Ongoing observation and analysis of market and competition situation
- Help establish and maintain special project-lists and competition lists with the Product Manager
- Continuously look to improve internal processes, both inside the department as well as within the company, through Scrum and Sprint activities
- Assist with expediting parts as needed. This involves working with supply chain personnel in the US and Germany.
Requirements
