We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Permanent Medical Coder to join our highly skilled healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Ortho, ENT, Surgery, and CPC.

You will be responsible for reviewing, interpreting, and accurately coding medical procedures and diagnoses. This role involves working closely with healthcare providers and administrative staff to ensure accurate billing and maximum reimbursement for services.
Responsibilities :
1. Reviewing and interpreting medical documentation to understand patient diagnoses and treatments.
2. Accurately coding medical procedures and diagnoses according to ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS Level II classification systems.
3. Interacting with physicians and assistants to ensure accuracy of procedure codes.
4. Auditing medical records to ensure proper coding is used and to ensure compliance with federal and state regulatory bodies.
5. Assisting in training and mentoring junior coders and providing coding education to other staff as needed.
6. Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of coding guidelines and reimbursement reporting requirements.
7. Reviewing denial and rejection reports, resolving discrepancies, and resubmitting claims as necessary.
8. Working closely with the billing team to ensure accurate billing and maximum reimbursement for services.
Qualifications :
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in medical coding, with a focus on Ortho, ENT, and Surgery.
2. Certified Professional Coder (CPC) certification is required.
3. In-depth knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS Level II coding systems.
4. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
5. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word.
6. Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
8. Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
9. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
10. Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive information with discretion.
