Job descriptionThe ideal candidate will have advanced expertise in sterile processing operations, strong leadership and change management skills, high integrity, and the ability to navigate complex team dynamics and organizational culture. Must be highly organized, patient-focused, and able to adapt quickly to changing needs. Excellent communication skills will be critical. Must be available to start within 2-3 weeks of acceptance. Bachelor's degree required Sterile Processing certification required (e.g., CRCST, CSPDT, or equivalent). Minimum of eight to ten years of experience in sterile processing, including at least three years in an administrative or leadership role. Prior experience working at the Director level is required Located in the Olney area, you'll enjoy both the amenities of the Washington, D.C. region and a more relaxed suburban atmosphere. Proximity to major parks, hiking and biking trails, and nature preserves for outdoor recreation. Access to multiple shopping, dining, and cultural destinations in nearby Bethesda, Silver Spring, and Rockville. Strong school systems and family-friendly neighborhoods. Convenient access to regional transportation routes and airports (e.g., Dulles, Reagan National) for travel flexibility. Compensation Range : $145,000 to $155,000 annually. The final compensation rate will be determined based on experience, education, training, location, internal equity, and budget considerations, in accordance with Fair Market Value evaluation. Additionally, some candidates may be eligible for a comprehensive benefits package, depending on the specific role, including but not limited to health insurance coverage and retirement benefits. The listed base compensation range represents a good faith estimate of potential earnings at the time of this job posting and may be subject to future adjustments. The Position
- An Interim Sterile Processing Department Advisor is needed to assess the operations and make recommendations for improvements.
- Reports to the Chief Nursing Officer.
- Key responsibilities include evaluating the current state of sterile processing operations and staff
identifying opportunities for process efficiency, quality improvement, and best practices
and providing objective feedback and actionable recommendations.
Requirements
Master's degree preferred.
prior experience in an acute care hospital setting (five to seven years) is preferred.
