Job Description

An electrical engineer participates with the electrical engineering team in electrical systems design and assists in the development of electrical systems drawings and documentation. Evaluates recent technical developments in product design to work towards an energy efficient, reliable and cost effective design. Assists with short circuit studies to illustrate the integrity of the distribution system design.

Responsibilities :

• Develop and coordinate the design and development of electrical and fire alarm systems and the required drawings and documentation
• Performs Electrical design calculations.
• Performs Short Circuit & Coordination & Arc Flash Studies (which includes site surveys, developing the one line, entering the one line into the program, analyzing the information, developing coordination curves and preparing the report).
• Coordinates with other disciplines and the design team to develop a fully coordinated design
• Attends project meetings to ensure schedule and deliverables are met.
• Performs site surveys to collected pre-existing conditions information.
