Project Controls Cost Estimator / Planner - Engineering
ProSidian Consulting is looking for a Project Controls Cost Estimator / Planner - Engineering headquartered near Savannah River Site / Aiken, South Carolina to support an engagement for Nuclear Energy Sector Clients. The Savannah River Site (SRS), a 310 square mile (198,046 acres) Department of Energy site, is located in the sand-hills region of South Carolina. It encompasses parts of Aiken, Barnwell and Allendale counties and is bordered on the west by the Savannah River and Georgia. SRS is close to several cities, including Augusta, Georgia and Columbia, South Carolina. It is also within a few hours of Atlanta, Savannah, Charleston, Greenville and Charlotte.
This
ProSidian Team Members work to provide temporary staffing support services to support Savannah River Remediation (SRR), the Liquid Waste (LW) Contractor located at the Department of Energy Savannah River Site in Aiken, SC 29808. Services anticipated includes storage, integration, treatment and disposition of the liquid radioactive waste being managed at the Savannah River Site (DOE).
Project Controls Cost Estimator / Planner - Engineering Candidates shall work to support requirements for 0 and The Estimator / Planner is a Professional Grade position.
Develop estimates that will be utilized to make proposal submittals per Federal Acquisition Requirement (FAR) 15 / 408 / Table 15.2. Participate in and lead the development of assigned estimates, and the conduct of estimate reviews. Provide factual, verifiable supporting documentation for estimated work. Work with other estimating professionals to review and summarize estimate review findings. Support the Project Control Lead / Subject Matter Expert, estimate review team to assimilate in to a successful Request for Equitable / Proposal submittal effort.
Will be assigned to specific Project(s).

Qualifications
The Project Controls Cost Estimator / Planner - Engineering shall have consecutive employment in a position with comparable responsibilities within the past five (5) years, Must be able to use a computer to communicate via email; and proficient in Microsoft Office Products (Word / Excel / PowerPoint) and related tools and technology required for the position. Work products shall be thorough, accurate, appropriately documented, and comply with established criteria. All employees, in the performance of their respective responsibilities, shall conduct themselves in the highest possible standards of ethical and business conduct. The candidate shall ensure that duties are performed in a competent and professional manner that meets milestones / delivery schedules as outlined.
Recent (within the past 6 months) cost estimating experience, defined as hands-on estimating for FAR Proposals submitted to DOE / DOD and DCAA for review and auditing. Current expertise and experience in generating highly detailed estimates with indexed documentation, and ability to write coherent, comprehensive Basis of Estimate documents. The Candidate must be proficient with Microsoft desktop software, specifically with Excel, and have the ability to utilize site's intranet share areas to find and transfer data. Proof of this current experience (FAR Proposal / Estimate submittal(s)) must be provided with the resume. Engineering or other formal degree in the application of estimating, planning, and performance of remediation projects within the DOE complex. Experience with Timberline, Primavera, or other related software is also desired. A 40 hour work week schedule is anticipated for this position. SRS utilizes various work schedules; including 5 / 8s (8 hours / day; five days per week), 4 / 10s (10 hours / day; four days per week), and a 9 / 80s (9 hours / day, five days on week A and 4 days on week B). Work week excludes SRR holidays. Each work day has a 30-minute lunch. Standard Facilities Access required but a security clearance is not currently required for this position
TRAVEL : Occasional travel may be required to attend meetings, events, site visits, or other training requirements. Travel is coordinated with the technical point of contact and approved in writing by the Contracting Officer in advance, is allowed, in accordance with Federal Travel Regulations.
