Regulatory Consultant - 64085444

We're seeking a Purchasing Agent to join our team. We are in the Division of Medical Quality Assurance at DOH in the Bureau of Operations, Operational Support Services unit. Our team provides administrative support to regulatory boards and councils by managing event logistics, travel reimbursements, ADA accommodations, and, increasingly, centralized purchasing functions. This position will primarily support the Bureau of Enforcement with their purchasing needs.

Your specific responsibilities :

  • Serve as the primary purchasing point of contact for Enforcement.
  • Initiate and manage purchase requisitions, ensuring compliance with departmental guidelines.
  • Coordinate with program staff to gather specifications and documentation for purchases.
  • Maintain accurate purchasing records and vendor communications.
  • Process invoices related to purchasing and services.
  • Support purchasing logistics for Enforcement trainings or events (small-to medium scope).
  • Coordinate with vendors for services related to events.
  • Provide cross-functional administrative support as needed.
  • Required knowledge, skills, and abilities :

  • Understand procurement processes and documentation.
  • Familiarity with My Florida Market Place / Ariba on Demand, POs, and vendor relations.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite : Outlook, Word, Excel, Access.
  • Comfortable navigating Windows OS, file management, and shared drives.
  • Have strong problem-solving skills and ability to adapt in a fast-paced, changing environment.
  • Must show high attention to detail and can juggle multiple priorities.
  • Must possess excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Must have a strong foundation in state purchasing processes, requisitions, and vendor coordination.
  • Have exceptional organizational and time management skills.
  • The ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet critical deadlines.
  • Have effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must possess a proactive attitude and the interpersonal savvy to navigate a variety of stakeholders.
