About The Position

Job Title : Cardiovascular Technician

Profession : Cardiovascular Technician

Shift : 07 : 00 AM - 05 : 30 PM

Hours per Shift : 10

Experience : Previous experience in a Cardiovascular Lab preferred.

License : ARRT-R and license as required by State or Certified Cardiovascular Technologist (CCT) required.

Certifications : BCLS (AHA) required upon hire and maintain current.

Must-Have : ARRT certification is mandatory.

Description : On-call is required.

On-call rate is elevated.

Must have catheterization experience.

Under the general direction of the physician, assist by scrubbing procedures or monitoring physiologic and hemodynamic data.

This relates to diagnostic and therapeutic procedures performed in the cardiovascular lab.

Ensure the procedure room is adequately prepared for the procedure.

Monitor par level of all instruments and supplies.

Participate in departmental staff meetings and performance improvement activities.

Engage in the training of new staff.

Assist in all aspects of invasive and noninvasive cardiac procedures.

Cardiovascular technologist training program with emphasis on invasive cardiology and hemodynamic monitoring preferred.

Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required within 30 days of hire.

Proficient computer skills are necessary.
