Description : OBJECTIVE
The Construction Associate supports internal facility improvement projects, assisting with the installation and maintenance of showrooms, gazebos, pergolas, picnic tables, patio structures, and related wood / composite projects. Performs general handyman tasks as directed to maintain Berco Redwood facilities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist in measuring, cutting, assembling, and installing wood and composite structures.
- Support internal carpentry projects, including shelving, small remodels, and storage solutions.
- Operate and maintain hand tools and basic power tools safely.
- Assist with site prep, cleanup, and material handling.
- Follow blueprints, shop drawings, and layout instructions under supervision.
- Report issues or material needs to supervisor promptly.
- Maintain clean, safe work areas and adhere to all safety procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
SKILLS & ABILITIES
Basic carpentry knowledge and hand tool use.Ability to follow instructions accurately.Attention to detail and willingness to learn.Strong communication and teamwork skills.EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or equivalent required0–2 years of carpentry, construction, or handyman experience preferred.Ability to read tape measuresStrong attention to detailMust be able to follow instructions and complete tasks on schedulePHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularlyAbility to squat, bend, stretch, and lift to reach various job areasMust be able to work at heights, including on scaffolding, ladders, or overhead structuresComfortable working outdoors in various weather conditionsProlonged periods of standing, walking, and physical labor requiredBENEFITS
