Overview
We are seeking a Model Integration Trainee to support our enterprise integration operations across DataStage, Control-M, and related tools. This entry-level role is designed for individuals looking to begin their career in data integration, workflow orchestration, and automation. You will work alongside senior engineers to monitor job failures, support code migrations, manage user access, and troubleshoot integration processes across multiple platforms.
This role offers hands-on exposure to enterprise data tools, Unix systems, scripting, and cloud data environments.
Key Responsibilities DataStage Support
Assist in analyzing job failures on DataStage and Unix servers.
Support code migrations and environment updates.
Help with user creation, role assignments, and unlocking jobs / sessions.
Coordinate with senior engineers on tool-related issues and IBM support tickets.
Control-M Operations
Monitor job failures and take guided corrective actions (kill, hold, force-complete, etc.).
Learn to configure SAP and Unix-based Control-M jobs.
Assist with calendar updates, workload policies, and agent installations / upgrades.
Participate in PagerDuty configurations and alert handling.
Gentran & Integration Tools
Understand the basics of maps, mailboxes, and FTP-based integrations.
Support debugging of custom Java programs under supervision.
Help configure or troubleshoot stored procedures on MS SQL.
Technical Exposure
Learn and support shell scripting & Python automation tasks.
Gain understanding of Unix servers, cron jobs, and relational databases.
Receive exposure to cloud platforms such as Snowflake.
Required Skills (Trainee Level)
Basic understanding of programming (Python, Shell scripting preferred).
Familiarity with databases (SQL knowledge is a plus).
Interest in data integration tools, workflow management, and server operations.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving mindset.
Willingness to learn enterprise tools such as DataStage, Control-M, Gentran, and Snowflake.
