Job descriptionDefine the technical vision for the engineering program, ensuring alignment with Salesforce platform best practices and product roadmaps. Build scalable onboarding, training, and certification programs for deep Salesforce technical expertise (Platform, Revenue Cloud, Industries solutions). Develop and scale technical engagement models (e.g., Implementation, MVP, Advisory) for repeatable, high‑impact customer engagements. Drive operational frameworks for knowledge sharing, reusable code assets, and engagement playbooks. Use data-driven insights to evaluate program outcomes and refine future strategies. Partner with Product and Engineering to align field feedback with product improvements. Collaborate with Customer Success and Professional Services to define technical handoffs and ensure long‑term customer success. Serve as the technical escalation point for complex deployments and customer blockers. 15+ years of engineering experience in SaaS or enterprise software, including 8+ years in a leadership role. Proven experience scaling engineering teams and operations in fast‑paced environments, with expertise in change management and scaling operational frameworks. Track record managing cross‑functional, globally distributed engineering teams and large‑scale programs. Deep technical expertise in Salesforce Platform architecture, application development, and scale / performance best practices. Strong understanding of enterprise SaaS deployment models, platform guardrails, and technical health frameworks. Expertise in software development lifecycle (SDLC), DevOps, Agile, and CI / CD. Operational mindset with experience scaling global programs and managing technical processes. Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to influence senior engineers, product teams, and customer stakeholders. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

About the Role
The Director / Senior Director of Engineering Strategy and Operations is a vital member of the engineering leadership team, responsible for driving operational excellence and strategic alignment across the global engineering organization. This leader will partner with the EVP of Engineering and other executives to align engineering processes, resources, and roadmaps with company goals. The role serves as a critical link between engineering execution and business strategy, ensuring efficiency, high-quality outcomes, and alignment with broader company objectives.
