Quality Improvement Director
STGi is seeking qualified candidates for this position in connection with an active Request for Proposals (RFP). Hiring for this role is contingent upon STGi's selection as the successful awardee.
The primary purpose of this position is to plan, organize, develop, coordinate and direct the facility's quality assurance and performance improvement (QAPI) program.
Essential Functions
Required Experience and Skills
Sufficient previous experience in clinical health care including direct experience in quality assurance and performance improvement.
Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action in a timely fashion.
Must be a supportive team member, contribute to and be an example of team work and team concept.
Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies / personnel and the general public.
Must be knowledgeable of quality assurance and performance improvement procedures.
Must possess leadership and supervisory ability and the willingness to work harmoniously with other personnel.
Must possess the ability to plan, organize, develop, implement and interpret the goals, objectives, policies, procedures, etc., of the QAPI program.
Must have patience, tact, a cheerful disposition and enthusiasm as well as the willingness to handle difficult residents and staff.
Must be willing to seek out new methods and principles and be willing to incorporate them into existing practices.
Required Education
Must have a minimum of a two year degree.
Working Conditions / Physical Requirements
Works in office areas as well as throughout the facility and its premises. Is subject to frequent interruptions. Is involved with residents, family members, personnel, and visitors under all conditions / circumstances. Works beyond normal working hours and on weekends and holidays when necessary. On call 24 hours a day, 7 days per week.
