Job description

Account Executive – Splunk Commercial – Remote

Join Cisco’s Splunk team as an Account Executive in a fully remote, California‑based role. This role can be performed from any location within California or other western U.S. states.

Role Summary

As an Account Executive, you will drive revenue growth by selling Splunk’s products and services to new prospects and existing accounts within a geo‑based territory.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for selling Splunk's products and services, developing new accounts, and growing existing accounts.
  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve or exceed sales targets within the assigned region.
  • Identify and prospect potential customers, including conducting market research and cold calling, to generate new business opportunities.
  • Build and develop account relationships through personalized contact, understanding of account’s needs, and ability to communicate the value of Splunk solutions.
  • Understand the customer journey and provide insights to improve the sales process and customer engagement.
  • Conduct territory planning to prioritize and lead sales activities.
  • Support Channel Partners to create net new customer opportunities and upgrade / expansion opportunities in customer accounts.

Must‑have Qualifications

  • 3+ years of SaaS sales experience, including a discrete quota‑carrying role.
  • Nice‑to‑have Qualifications

  • Understanding of how Splunk products and services solve customer problems.
  • Consistent history of over‑performing on sales targets.
  • Proficiency in consultative / solution selling techniques, such as MEDDPICC and Value Selling.
  • Skilled at territory planning and forecasting; proficient at driving a full sales cycle.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Excellent presentation skills.
  • Confidence and poise when meeting C‑level executives.
  • Relevant software industry experience in IT systems, enterprise or infrastructure management, application development, DevOps, security, business applications, or analytics.

    Compensation and Benefits

    On Target Earnings : $153,000 – $187,000 USD.
