Overview :
Join Dorleco as a Powertrain Gear shifter System Engineer and contribute to next-generation vehicle propulsion systems. This role involves developing and analyzing gear shifter interface management, drive and terrain modes, and torque control functionalities for both conventional and electric powertrains (ePT). You’ll work on system function analysis, requirement management using IBM DOORS, and model-based simulations in MATLAB and SysML Rhapsody.
Ideal candidates have strong knowledge of CAN / LIN communication, vehicle dynamics, and powertrain systems, along with experience in Agile projects and FMEA. Be part of an innovative team shaping the future of intelligent propulsion technologies.

Role and Responsibilities
Required Knowledge and worked on Gear Shifter Interface Management, Drive Modes Control, Torque ControlFunctionality for Conv and ePT.Knowledge on Gear Shitters, Drive Modes, Terrian Modes, Torque calculations, ePT motor Torque ManagementKnowledge on PT, ePT Transmission shift schedules and Driveline Torque Calculations.Performing powertrain function analysis and function decomposition.Requirement elicitation activities to gather Regulatory requirements, environmental and electrical parameters & associated corporate specifications etc.Propulsion system high level functional requirement artifact creation in IBM DOORS / IBM DOORS Next Gen (DNG) including attribute classifications.Propulsion System Operating Modes Identification, Analysis and Documentation in DNG.Propulsion system EOL Service requirements (IO,Routine,DID) defines for propulsion componentsPerform System Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (SFMEA) for Propulsion system functions and identify the safety requirementParticipate in Agile Methodology to plan RASI deliverable timing and identify potential risks.Develop simulation / virtual models for specific propulsion features / functions using MATLAB, SysML Rhapsody.Qualifications and Education Requirements
Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, Electronics Engineering and other related Engineering degreesMinimum 5 years’ experience in conventional powertrain development Experience in Diesel Engines Preferred).Good understanding on overall vehicle dynamics and vehicle system functioningGood understanding automotive electrical sensors, Switch and actuators system functioning.Expertise with automotive communication protocols such as CAN , LIN along with OBD standards.Experience in Function analysis and function decomposition.Expertise with Microsoft Office products Outlook, Excel, Vision, PowerPointProficient in requirement management tools such as IBM Rational DOORs, IBM DOORS Next Gen etc.Preferred experience and skills
Experience with Vector Tools for data collection.Vehicle Validation or Powertrain Calibration experience.Familiarity with Agile project managementExperience with overall vehicle development cycle and Change management process.Good communication skills, able to lead meetings with cross functional team
