Sales Development Representative (Portuguese Speaker)

The Canonical is a global software company that publishes the Ubuntu and open-source corporate solutions for cloud, developers, IoT, and AI. Ubuntu is the fastest growing Linux distribution and ranks first as the most used operating system in the cloud.

In partnership with Google, Amazon, IBM, and Microsoft, the Canonical helps companies become more agile, productive, and adopt new technologies faster. Examples of successful clients include AI, Blockchain, IoT, Advanced Robotics, and autonomous cars, where the Ubuntu is the preferred development platform.

The Role of a Sales Development Representative at Canonical

The Canonical is a profitable and growing company. We consider our sales development organization as the best sales academy in technology market. It is necessary to have an interest in technology and its implications in business. In this role, you will collaborate with the regional sales and marketing team, and your main objective will be to identify customer projects that align with our products and promote the name of Canonical in different sectors and regions.

What Will Your Day Look Like

  • Handle customer requests via email, phone, and chat
  • Execute sales and marketing campaigns
  • Travel to events and conferences around the world, presenting at booths and promoting in-person marketing and sales opportunities
  • Collaborate with various teams and stakeholders to achieve results
  • Work directly with marketing on campaigns
  • Research information about potential customers
  • Generate a sales pipeline of millions of dollars
  • Identify leads and market trends
  • Help define team processes and policies
  • Interact with new and existing customers, organizing and participating in meetings, while actively mapping accounts to identify new opportunities
  • Create, update, maintain, and nurture leads in global opportunities with precision

    Your base salary will depend on several factors, including geographic location, level of experience, knowledge, and skills. In addition to the above benefits, certain positions are also eligible for annual bonuses and sales incentives based on revenue or utilization. Our compensation philosophy aims to ensure equity across our global workforce.
