HM Staffing Solutions is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Safety Coordinator to join our team and champion a culture of safety across all operations. This role is critical in ensuring compliance with safety regulations, minimizing risk, and promoting health and well-being on the job site.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive safety programs and policies
- Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify hazards and ensure compliance
- Lead safety training sessions and orientations for new and existing employees
- Investigate incidents and near-misses, perform root cause analysis, and recommend corrective actions
- Maintain accurate records of safety incidents, training, and compliance documentation
- Collaborate with management and regulatory agencies (e.g., OSHA) to uphold safety standards
- Promote safety awareness and lead initiatives to improve workplace safety culture
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, or related field (preferred)Minimum 2 years of experience in safety coordination, preferably in construction or industrial settingsFamiliarity with OSHA, EPA, and other relevant safety regulationsStrong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office and safety management softwareSafety certifications (e.g., OSHA 30, First Aid / CPR) are a plus
