We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Landscape Construction Foreman to oversee the daily execution of our exciting outdoor space construction projects.
You'll play a pivotal role in ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to our exacting quality standards.
Responsibilities :
- Lead and supervise a crew of landscape construction workers, providing clear instructions, motivation, and ongoing training.
- Read and interpret landscape plans, blueprints, and specifications, ensuring a thorough understanding of project requirements.
- Oversee all aspects of project execution, including material procurement, equipment management, and scheduling tasks and labor.
- Maintain a safe work environment, enforcing all safety protocols and procedures, and mitigating potential hazards.
- Conduct regular quality inspections, ensuring all work meets our high standards and adheres to project specifications.
- Collaborate effectively with designers, project managers, and clients to address questions or concerns and ensure project satisfaction.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including daily logs, material usage records, and crew time sheets.
- Estimate labor and material needs for upcoming projects.
- May assist with troubleshooting and problem-solving unforeseen challenges on the job site.
Qualifications :
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in landscape construction, with a proven track record of leading and supervising crews.
- Strong understanding of landscape construction principles, materials, and techniques (hardscaping, softscaping, drainage, irrigation, etc.).
- Experience working with various types of construction equipment (excavators, skid steers, etc.) a plus.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Proactive problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to prioritize effectively, manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Physical fitness for the demands of the job, including lifting heavy objects, working outdoors in all weather conditions, and performing manual labor.
- OSHA 30 certification or equivalent safety training preferred.
