What if inspection was the craft that made flight safer and devices life-saving?
At KMM Group in Hatboro, PA (Full-Time), that’s the challenge on our bench every day. We manufacture mission-critical components for aerospace and medical devices—and we’re looking for a metrology leader who treats precision as a purpose.
The mission
Transform inspection from a bottleneck into a strategic advantage by uniting advanced CMM programming, deep GD&T fluency, and disciplined quality systems.
How you’ll make it happen
- Program and deploy Zeiss Calypso on CMMs for first article, in-process, and final inspections across complex, tight-tolerance parts.
- Validate critical features using advanced GD&T (ASME Y14.5), confirming results with CNC inspection, hard gauges, and vision systems (Keyence, OGP).
- Engineer quality into the process : build Inspection Plans and Process Control Plans , implement risk-based inspection, and leverage SPC / Cpk to monitor capability.
- Document with rigor using Good Documentation Practices aligned to ISO 13485 , AS9100 , and 21 CFR Part 820 .
- Lead nonconformance investigations and CAPA , ensuring traceability and controlled handling of parts and records.
- Maintain calibration systems for metrology equipment and gages to keep data trustworthy.
- Collaborate daily with Engineering, Quality, and Production; mentor technicians and operators in measurement science.
- Reduce bottlenecks by aligning priorities to production schedules and using automation to create faster, clearer decisions.
- Introduce AI-enabled inspection efficiencies by implementing automated data collection and reporting pipelines.
- Strengthen the QMS through SOP development and participation in internal audits and improvement projects.
