Summary : Tends fabricating machines such as cutoff and band saws, shears, rolls, brakes, presses, forming machines, spinning machines, and punch, that cut, shape, and bend metal plates, sheets, tubes, and structures :

Supervisory Responsibilities : This job has no direct supervisory responsibilities.

Qualifications : To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and / or ability required. Education and / or Experience : Two year certificate from an accredited college or technical school; or one to two years related experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills : Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence and to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees.

Mathematical Skills : Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals; able to accurately measure with a tape measure and square to 1 / 32" and convert decimals to fractions.

Reasoning Ability : Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Computer Skills : Some knowledge of CNC programming and basic inventory control system desired. Basic knowledge of computers to log in, and navigate to access job folders to view sales quotes if necessary to retrieve paint specifications is desired.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations : This job requires no certificates, licenses, or registrations.

Other Qualifications : Ability to distinguish stainless steel, carbon steel and aluminum and read blue prints and schematics. Lift truck experience preferred, or willingness to obtain. Must be willing work overtime on an as-needed basis to maintain production deadlines.
