Overview
Morrison Container Handling Solutions, a leader in the packaging industry, is seeking a skilled Electrical Assembly Technician (Panel Builder) to join our busy production team. In this role, you'll assemble and wire industrial control panels, working hands-on with our innovative equipment. Responsibilities
- Assemble, build, and wire industrial control panels
- Identify components using electrical schematics and bills of material
- Drill, tap, punch, and cut holes in sheet metal and machine framing to mount panel and machine components
- Route machine cabling and terminate connections in electric motors, transformers, junction boxes and control devices
- Print labels and tag all wires, cables, devices, and equipment neatly and properly
Qualifications
3+ years of experience reading electrical schematics and working with and around industrial machineryPrevious experience wiring 3-phase electrical equipmentExposure to mechanical machine assemblyAttention to detailAttitude : Strong desire to succeed as part of a team; interest in contributing to positive company culture; willingness to persist until the job is done right for the customer and embrace the Morrison "Support Built In" philosophyCommunication and Problem-Solving : the ability to identify problems and review related information with colleagues and customers to develop and evaluate options and implement solutionsComputer Skills : the ability to navigate and use a desktop computer, including internet browsers, email, E2 database, word processing, and spreadsheetsAdditional Qualifications
