The Assembly Technician will be responsible for assembling, troubleshooting, and maintaining equipment and systems within our food manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical and electrical skills, with experience in assembly line processes and equipment troubleshooting.
Key Responsibilities :
Assemble, test, and troubleshoot production equipment and systems, ensuring they meet operational standards.
Perform preventative maintenance on all assembly equipment, ensuring machinery runs at optimal performance.
Re-program machines, robots, and automation systems. Experience with Fanuc Robots is a plus.
Read and interpret manuals, blueprints, and schematics (electrical, pneumatic, mechanical) to guide assembly and repairs.
Collaborate with production teams to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety protocols and standards.
Work as part of a team to achieve consistent production output goals.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
Safely perform assembly, installation, and repairs on production equipment and systems.
Troubleshoot and resolve electrical, mechanical, and automation issues in a timely manner.
Conduct routine preventive maintenance on assembly equipment to minimize downtime and ensure longevity.
Install, maintain, and troubleshoot PLCs and control systems for automated equipment.
Work closely with engineering and production teams to improve equipment reliability and efficiency.
Maintain accurate records of assembly processes, maintenance activities, and repairs.
Follow all safety protocols and work in accordance with company safety standards.
Assist in the development and implementation of assembly and maintenance procedures.
Provide training and support to junior assembly staff as needed.
Assist with audits and inspections from outside agencies.
Education, Experience & Qualifications :
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Basic math and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar assembly or technician role.
Familiarity with production machinery, including baggers, fillers, cappers, cartoners, printers, and mixers.
Strong understanding of pneumatics and mechanical systems.
Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and manuals.
Reliable attendance and a proven work ethic.
