Job Description

We are seeking a proficient Mechanical Designer to join our new product development team. The ideal candidate will understand product requirements and develop innovative solutions, create detailed part drawings and solid models, and support design and drawing reviews. This role involves working closely with suppliers to produce parts and prototypes, as well as testing designs and solving technical problems.

Responsibilities

• Understand product requirements and develop solutions.
• Create part drawings, solid models, and bills of material.
• Support design reviews and drawing reviews.
• Collaborate with suppliers to produce parts.
• Prototype and test designs.
• Solve technical problems and maintain subassemblies.
• Familiarity with manufacturing processes.
• Create accurate Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) and Product and Change Notifications (PACNs).
• Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities.

Work Environment

This position is onsite and is best suited for a candidate who enjoys leaving their desk to engage in hands-on problem-solving on the manufacturing floor. You will work within a collaborative team of eight in a dynamic and innovative environment. Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Shakopee, MN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $35.00 / hr.
