Maintenance Technician (1st Shift)

Currently we have an opening within our Maintenance Department for a Maintenance Technician .

This position will be responsible for duties designed to assist multiple departments within Taco Metals.

The purpose of this position is to install, maintain, troubleshoot and repair industrial manufacturing equipment and perform routine facility maintenance tasks, to support the business goals and objectives of Taco Metals.

This position is a non-exempt hourly position and will report directly to the Maintenance Manager The Primary Duties and Responsibilities for this position are :

• These are functions a qualified incumbent or applicant must be able to perform with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and the facility equipment.
• Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines.
• Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments.
• Perform regular preventative maintenance on production machines and equipment.
• Performs maintenance such as electrical, plumbing and carpentry for the facility.
• Provide emergency and / or unscheduled repairs.
• Follow all documented and accepted company and department safety guidelines.
• Participate in safety training.

Suggest and participate in safety improvements. (Job hazard analysis, audits, inspections, etc.) Requirements for this position are :

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
