About The Position

Experience : Minimum 2 years current experience in Labor and Delivery

License : TN / compact licensure required

Certifications : ACLS, BLS, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate, NIHSS required

Must-Have :

• 2 years current experience in Labor and Delivery
• Ability to float as needed
• On-call availability for 2 shifts per 6-week schedule period
• Weekend requirements : Every other weekend or 2 weekends per month

Description :

Candidates should possess 2 years of current experience in Labor and Delivery and postpartum care.

The nurse-to-patient ratio in labor is 1 : 2, and in postpartum / couplets it is 1 : 8.

Travelers must adhere to local policies regarding time off during major holidays.

Applicants should be skilled in handling high-risk antepartum cases and assisting with high-risk deliveries.

Experience with circulation for C-sections and recovery of C-sections is essential.

Knowledge in the use of intrauterine pressure catheter placement and calibration is required.

Applicants should be prepared to maintain central lines (CVC / PICC) and administer medications such as anticoagulants and insulin drips.

The facility manages approximately 200 to 300 births per month.

Interdisciplinary support is available from various services including physical therapy and pharmacy.

Candidates must ensure that their certifications and licensure do not expire within 45 days of the start date.

Travel experience is required for this position.
